Attendance Policy

All absences are recorded and the parent or guardian must verify their cause. Parents or guardians are responsible for providing a written explanation of their child's absence on the back of the sign-in and out sheets. Parents or guardians must sign with a full signature. A doctor's note may be required if the child is absent more than three (3) days.
 
Excused Absences:
Absences that are considered Excused Absences are defined as:
  • Illness (child or parent)
  • Hospitalization
  • Doctor or dentist visit
  • Quarantine of child or parent
  • Family emergency
 
Best Interest/Vacation Days:
Absences that are in the "Best Interest " of the child are considered excused absences. A maximum of ten (10) Best Interest days will be allowed during a single school year.
 
Excessive Unexcused Absences and/or Tardies:
If child is frequently absent and/or tardy he/she may be disenrolled from the program.
